ASSOCIATIONAL NEWS

Associational Missions emphasis week is the third week of May (19-26).  The offering goal is $18,000 for disaster relief equipment and operations.  The equipment is for rigging to help take trees off of houses ($6,000)and for power washers, shovels, etc. for adding mud-out/ash-out capabilities to the chainsaw trailer ($3,000).  Operation expenses are incurred when the disaster relief teams work locally.  To date we have received a total of $10,685.18 coming from the following churches: Bar Nun-$360;  FBC Daingerfield-$350.00; FBC Diana-$437.19;Eaves Tabernacle-$304.00;  Emmanuel-$140.00;  Fellowship-$150.00;  Hillcrest-$30.00;  Lake Fork-$3,404.13; FBC Mt. Pleasant-$1,285.86; New Beginnings-Daingerfield-$500.00; New Mine-$462.00  FBC Ore City-$300.00; Piney Grove-$463.00; Pittsburg FBC-$1,160.00;  Quitman FBC-$389.00;  Rock Hill-$300.00; Simpsonville-$100.00; Snow Hill-$300.00 and Trinity-$250.00.

CHURCH NEWS

^{FBC Ore City has called James L. Gray as pastor.}

Southside Baptist Church of Ore City has called Mike Mayfield as pastor.

Chris Horton has resigned as Associate Pastor for Education at Lake Fork Baptist Church.  Perry Crisp is pastor.

The following churches have staff positions open:  New Mine, youth minister; Lone Star, youth minister; FBC Ore City, youth minister;  Calvary, Talco, music/youth; Mt. Moriah, music and youth.  All positions are bivocational (parttime).
